Not surprised by this at all. Anyone who knows me, knows I say that we get ignored. We basically did nothing for New Jersey's 350th except talk. I often state how the Revoutionary War Museum should have been located in New Jersey, instead Pennsyvania got it.
New Jersey saw more battles than any other state. Washington spent more than 50% of the War in New Jersey. The turning point of the Revolution occurred in New Jersey during the Ten Crucial Days with the Crossing of the Delaware, the two Battles of Trenton and the Battle of Princeton. The coldest winter was actually Morristown, not Valley Forge. Valley Forge os largely a myth that Washington created in his letters to the Continental Congress to try getting them to speed up delivery of supplies. New Jersey is also home to the longest battle of the Revolution- The Battle of Monmouth which was two days long and fought in 100 degree weather. More soldiers died from the heat, than from enemy fire.
