The celebration of what is commonly called "The 10 Crucials" continues today in Trenton with the Battles of Trenton reenactment.
Without these victories in Trenton and Princeton, the US would not be here today.
Patriots' Week is a great event that brings this very important historic time to life. After the First Battle of Trenton Reenactment join us in Warren St Plaza for a "mini" historical look at some amazing American history presented with marionettes and rod puppets - and lots of help from the audience! The show includes live music, large puppets and props, and plenty of "revolting" action.
Then Soldiers of the 17th Regiment of Infantry will drill and fire their muskets on the Parade ground of the Old Barracks Museum.
Also, gather at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery for the memorial service for the fallen Hessian soldiers, and gather with the troops as they muster for the Second Battle Reenactment in Mill Hill Park.
REMEMBER to see the ACTION of the Second Battle of Trenton Reenactment at the Assunpink in Mill Hill Park!
will be hosting the first Assunpink Firewalk. Join Mayor Gusciora for the first Assunpink Firewalk with a colorful cast to usher in a new holiday tradition in the city of Trenton. As darkness fall, watch Continental Soldiers light 13 torches along the south bank and hear a dramatic reading if Thomas Paine's "The American Crisis".
The Firewalk begins at 4 PM in Mill Hill Park at the Iron Bridge.
